The 2011 Bearcats season was a major turning point in program history in only the first season of the Coach Abrams-era. It was the first winning season since 1998 and the first time since 1992 that the ‘Cats made to the playoffs. Monroe would end the regular season with a 6-3 record and wins over longtime rivals Snohomish and Marysville-Pilchuck en-route to their first playoff game in 19 years against Skyline. In the qualifying round of the playoffs, the Bearcats were crushed by Skyline by a score of 59-21, ending a very successful season with a 6-4 record.
