After a tepid start to football in Monroe, the second season of Bearcat football would prove to be a resounding success. Starting out with a victory against Everett, Monroe faced strong Marysville and Snohomish squads in games that would decide the county champion that season. Unfortunately for the ‘Cats, both teams ran over the Monroe in decisive defeats to leave them 1-2 before facing Arlington in home and away games to finish the year. The first game was a solid 28-0 victory at home for the Bearcats before they made a trip up to Arlington to cap off the season. The final game of the year was a smashing victory as Monroe utterly dominated the Eagles 52-0, a solid win to end the season and the first winning season in Monroe history.
