Under first year coach Fred Halvarson, the 1925 Bearcats played hit or miss football that produced a largely forgettable season. The campaign started out rough as the ‘Cats were beaten by their rival Snohomish to start the year and would be upset by Granite Falls the next week. After narrowly escaping with a win at Sultan, the Bearcats would drop a close game to Marysville and found themselves at 1-3 and out of contention for a county title. Nevertheless, the ‘Cats still found a reason to fight on, defeating Stanwood before traveling to Edmonds. Against Edmonds, the Bearcats took out their frustrations in a blowout 69-0 victory that was the highlight of the season. The Bearcats was slated to take on Lake Stevens to finish the season, but Lake Stevens forfeited the game as injuries devastated their roster. Coach Halvarson would be replaced by DeLoss Robertson for the 1926 season.
