A year after coming within a game of winning a conference title, the 1964 Bearcats in the first season under Coach Drew took a step backwards as they could not match the same success. The season started out with many questions as the ‘Cats stood at one win, one loss, and two ties, clearly not as talented as the previous season but not totally helpless. Following a scoreless tie against Langley, the Bearcats fell apart and lost their next four games, including a 60-6 blowout by Lake Stevens. Monroe capped off a lowly season with a 33-0 victory at Sultan.
