The 1965 Bearcats would once again have a mediocre year under Coach Drew as they struggled to find consistent play. The season looked very similar to the previous one as the offense was unreliable and the defense was hit or miss for most of the year. After a win against Langley and a tie against Concrete, the ‘Cats fell to in three straight games to secure another lowly season. A beatdown of Sultan was one of the lone bright spots and ended the year on a positive note. After the season was over, Monroe moved on from Coach Drew and hired Dick Langum to be the next head coach.
