For the second season in a row, the Bearcats posted another lowly 2-7 record. Despite having a similar record, the 1981 squad showed more signs of decline than they did of promise. The defense was capable in most games but the biggest weakness of the team was the offense. The only redeeming aspects of the year were a 3-0 victory at Lake Stevens and a win against Woodway.
