Only three years removed from an appearance in the conference playoffs, the 1982 Bearcats posted an 0-9 record, one of the worst seasons in team history. On both offense and defense, the ‘Cats were thoroughly outclassed by every team they faced all year. The offense struggled to put up points as the defense struggled to keep teams from scoring. A week 6 matchup against Mountlake Terrace was the closest the ‘Cats came to victory, falling narrowly by a score of 18-14. In the last game of the season, Shorecrest shutout the Bearcats for the third straight game, sealing the first winless season in program history.
