Coach Nowadnick’s second season at Monroe would be one of his most difficult as the program still hadn’t fully turned the corner yet. The Bearcats struggled throughout the season and the only wins during the year, against Lynnwood and Meadowdale, were by very close margins. For the second year in a row, a very weak offense hamstrung the team as they only scored 68 points all season. The defense, which was extremely effective the season before, also took a step backwards. The team was still only a year away from making a real impact in the WESCO conference.
