Despite Coach Haynie having experience in managing long struggling programs, the 2002 Bearcats would suffer another winless season in the WESCO 4A conference. The ‘Cats played somewhat better than the 2001 squad but the majority of the losses were by large margins. The low point in the season came when Monroe followed a 63-7 loss to Ballard with a 69-7 drubbing at the hands of Oak Harbor the next week.
